Draw around your hand on a page in your workbook. Use each finger to visually show five quite surprising things that happen in this story. Community gardens are small plots of land allocated to groups of people by some organization that holds title or lease to the land, sometimes for rent, sometimes simply as a grant of land.Research and find out about a community garden near you. In Melbourne, for example, there is one near the Rushall train station. What unique features does the garden of your choice have? Who runs it? What is the history behind this garden? Research and find out about the Vietnamese community garden at the rear of Hoddle Street Collingwood. What specific elements of this project build a sense of community among participants.Design and establish a community garden plot for your school, a plot that would enable people from the community to participate.Birds are unlikely to do all the work for you so explain the process you will follow to establish this garden. Draw two circles. In one circle identify the parts of the story of the Magic Garden which are fantasy. In the second circle identify the parts that are quite probable. Turn the Magic Garden in to a play and present it to the class. Critically evaluate your work. How would you do things differently next time? What changes need to be made?Suggest some changes to your plans and identify what would be the best things to focus on.

Mathematical

I enjoy working with numbers & science

Draw four circles on a page in your workbook and decorate to show which season each represents. Research and find out vegetables which can be sown in each season. Research and find out vegetable growing seasons. Prepare a graph which could be used by gardeners to remind them of the best times to plant their vegetables. Take a terracota pot and fill it with potting mix. Plant some herb seeds and monitor the growth of these seeds over a six week period.Under what conditions do they thrive?Work out the cost of growing your own plant, weigh your crop and compare the cost with the price of this product in the shops. Take photos of each stage and use Photo Story 3 to make a mini movie about the life of the plant in the terracotta pot. (Undertake as a procedural text) Look at your work and decide how comprehensive it is.Will there be enough information for most gardeners?

What information should you have included?

Prepare a sheet for a mediation group. Clearly state the conflict that is to be resolved at mediation. Identify the main arguments that have been put forward in relation to the found gold. Weigh up the various arguments and consider which have the most merit.   Have a group come to mediation and make a recommendation about what should happen to the gold. Write a report that outlines the problems your group encountered as you attempted to resolve this dispute?

Intrapersonal

I enjoy working by myself
